APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Students who would like to attend Missouri Western State University and are interested in using the services that the Disability Services office provides, should:

  1. Obtain application materials from your high school guidance office or call or write to the Admissions Office, Missouri Western State University, Eder Hall, Room 101, 4525 Downs Drive, St. Joseph, MO, 64507, (816) 271-4266.
  2. Complete the application for admission, and send it to the Admissions Office. You will find a section on the back of the application form that gives you the option to disclose your disability. You are encouraged to do so, but if you are more comfortable, you may make this disclosure directly to our Disability Services office. However, our office cannot assist you unless you initiate contact with us.
  3. Send the documentation of your disability to the Disability Services Office, Missouri Western State University, Eder Hall, Room 203N, 4525 Downs Drive, St. Joseph, MO, 64507. You will receive a letter from the office acknowledging the receipt of your documentation. This letter will also indicate whether the office can provide you with services or if additional information is necessary.
