Dr. Vincenza Rose Marash, Diversity and Women’s Issues Counselor, has considerable experience in providing counseling and educational services to a diverse clientele within both academic institutions and the wider community.
A certified rape crisis counselor, Vincenza has served as a university counselor/therapist, clinical intern, clinical support specialist, women’s support circle facilitator, educational counselor/academic advisor, assistant dean, graduate and undergraduate lecturer in psychology and education, and first grade teacher. She has achieved a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, as well as Master’s degrees in Social Work, Developmental Psychology, and Liberal Studies, together with two Women’s Studies concentrations. Vincenza has studied extensively issues of diversity and oppression, and has published and presented her work within a variety of forums.
With her connection-oriented approach to conducting counseling and psychotherapy, Vincenza is passionately committed to providing a facilitating context wherein individuals may work to enrich and empower their own lives. She is delighted to be a member of the Missouri Western counseling team, and enjoys working with the University’s diverse array of traditional and non-traditional students. |
