The procedure for acquiring a new list remains the same, contact mayes@missouriwestern.edu or X4568. For existing lists the administration and list options has been improved.

Through Netscape or Internet Explorer contact http://list.missouriwestern.edu/

We have attempted to group the lists by department with a few exceptions.

If you are a member of "list" please type:

Your email address: must be fully quailifed i.e.(user@missouriwestern.edu)

Your password: This is your list admin password.
(leave blank if you have no personal password)

The following is an example of what the list administrator would see when they click on the list admin button.

This is used to add and remove members to the mailing list.

This is used to moderate messages if the list is moderated.

This will let you compose a greeting or farewell to members.

Would be used when you want certain words or phrases to have a certain action associated with them

allows for a message to be sent back as an acknowledgement to the original sender.

Used to see any mail that has not yet been sent.

Used to see sent messages.

Used to view message online.




To add users to your list through e-mail do the following:
Compose an email:
On the to line enter the name of the list you want to add members to.
No subject.
In the body on the first line type the word "login" (without the quotes) followed by your password for the list.
On subsequent lines type the word "add"(no quotes) followed by the email address and the first and last name of the subscriber.
The final line must be the word "end" no quotes.
