Bounce Days

This option sets how many bounces (one counted per day) a member has to cause before being put on hold.

Lyris counts one bounce per day, per member. As the person's bounce count is incremented, the "Bounce Days" setting determines the threshold at which the person is put on hold.

For a mailing list with daily postings, the number "5" means that the person will need to bounce for 5 days in a row. The "Bounce Reset" setting means that if the person does not bounce for 5 days in a row, they will be reset back to 0 bounces.

For a mailing list with monthly postings, a Bounce Setting of 3, with a Bounce Reset number of 35 is best. This means that a person will need to bounce 3 monthly postings in a row, and after 3 will automatically be placed on hold.

If you want your members to be placed on hold immediately if they bounce any messages at all, you can set this number to 1.
