Scholarships | Apply for Scholarship(s) (Except Western Excellence Awards)

The Chemistry Department of Missouri Western State University is offering academic scholarships and internships for Chemistry majors. These scholarships are designed for academically exceptional students with aspirations toward a chemistry career. You must be a declared Chemistry major and have completed a major-minor application at MWSU.

Scholarships Available:
 

Hillyard Companies Scholarship(s)	Awarded to junior or senior student pursuing a B.S. in Chemistry.  Deadline:  March 1st.
J.B. Bruce Family Scholarship	Awarded to a student majoring in chemistry.
Boehringer Ingelheim Scholarship(s)	Awarded to a student majoring in chemistry with a G.P.A. of at least 3.0.  Deadline:  March 1st.
Roesle Family Scholarship	Awarded to a student majoring in Medical Technology.  Deadline:  March 1st.
Blue Sides Company	Awarded to Freshman student majoring in chemistry.  Deadline:  March 1st.
Chemistry Department Scholarship	Awarded to a student majoring in chemistry.     Deadline:  March 1st.
Western Excellence Awards	Awarded to three freshman and three sophomore students majoring in, or intending to major in, a Department of Chemistry degree program.  Freshman applicants must have achieved a minimum ACT score of 25 and enroll in CHE 111 during their incoming semester or have completed a equivalent course prior to entering Western.  Freshman applicants must also indicate their intent to pursue a degree in Chemistry.  Sophomore applicants must have declared Chemistry as a major and have earned a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Preference given to students pursuing an American Chemical Society certified degree. Application Procedures:  Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit any additional requested documentation to the Western Office of Financial Aid.  Apply On-Line Deadline:  April 1st.
