Cassandra Kelly

“My professors in the math department were phenomenal, going the extra mile to help me understand the material and to succeed where I had struggled. They encouraged me to push the limits of my academic ability.

I am thankful I attended a student-centered college where I was more than an ID number. I hope my children will be able to have such an amazing college experience.”

“Not only was I taught by knowledgeable professors, I also had access to the professors when I needed to consult with them about class work or other concerns. Also, as a traditional college student, having many nontraditional students at Western enabled me to appreciate my educational experience even more.”

Whether it was helping students in the classroom, advising students regarding their schedules, working with students to compete independent studies or sponsoring student organizations, the professors at Western worked to ensure that each student had a successful experience at Western.”

“Nothing is more important in education than a good foundation. The classes at Western were smaller and the teachers were more involved, helping to build that strong foundation. Western was the place where I learned to think and to develop the study habits I needed as I went on in medicine and life.”
