WHAT IS DIVERSITY DIALOGUES?
The CME believes it is beneficial to student organizations to be advised and aided in their efforts to include diversity oriented programming in what they provide for campus.

Diversity Dialogues is a co-sponsorship and advising program that enables student organizations to work with CME on a program of their choice.

WHAT DO WE DO?
We meet with interested student organizations to discuss their idea for a program. We look for the following things before determining our co-sponsorship:

• Is it a topic of diversity?
  Gender issues, racial unification, discrimination, philosophical debates, sexual orientation, religion, equal hiring practices (history of your career field), etc.

• Is it open to the public?
  We try to educate our surrounding community as well, but this is not mandatory

• Your openness to our ideas?
  We will offer ideas on how to make the program more of a diversity challenge for participants

• Is there learning toward cultural competency?
  We will work together to make sure the expected outcome is clear and we have a way of measuring what our students have learned

We will also offer refreshments at the event, fliers or posters designed and purchased through our department.

We will also have FUN, FUN, FUN!!!  We are an absolutely down to earth, fun staff to work with and want to offer you the best opportunities possible.
