STUDY SKILLS
Photograph of study skills coordinator and student working together The study skills demands of college are often significant: students must manage their time well, prepare appropriately for different kinds of tests, take effective lecture notes and use them for greater understanding of course material, assess their own learning styles, use textbooks to the best possible advantage, and know when to memorize material and when a greater depth of understanding is required. So that students can

meet these challenges and assure their academic success, the Center provides one-on-one tutoring appointments to help students develop these and other study strategies in order to become more efficient and flexible learners.
