Department of Business!

The Department of Business provides undergraduate majors with relevant business knowledge, critical thinking abilities, and professional skills through classroom and applied learning opportunities.  By integrating applied learning into the curriculum, as well as supporting university graduate programs, we contribute to the leadership of Missouri Western State University as the New American Regional University serving a geographic region centered in St. Joseph, Missouri.  (Approved, September 13, 2007)

The Business Department prepares professionally-oriented students for the future by offering baccalaureate degrees in accounting, finance, management and marketing and an associate degree in business.  These degrees provide basic skills in mathematics, written and oral communication, and computer usage, broad perspectives on the world through general studies courses, and knowledge of current business decision-making practices and strategic perspectives through major courses.
