Co-Curricular Funding --

Urban Plunge Program

The Urban Plunge program is a component element of the Co-Curricular Events program. While the Co-curricular area funds on-campus programs, Urban Plunge provides funding for transportation for class-related, one-day, off-campus educational ventures.  Urban Plunge emphasizes cultural programming and the funds would cover the cost of the MWSU 27-person bus and driver or the activity tickets up to this amount. The cap for funds is $120.00.

The faculty member is responsible for all aspects of organizing such trips.

The Urban Plunge budget can support only four to five trips per academic year. Applications need to provide a paragraph explaining the proposed trip and its connection with classroom work as well as the date of the trip.

Applications are considered on a first-come-first-served basis and should be sent to Darcy Groce (groce) and Deny Staggs (dstaggs), chairperson of the Co-Curricular Events Committee. Within two weeks after a funded event, the faculty member must file a short report on the event that includes the number of students involved.

E-mail the report to Deny Staggs (dstaggs).
