Western has six spacious,
suite and apartment style residence halls that allow you to be
comfortable as you study and relax on campus. For more features, floor

Applying for Housing
You will be able to print off your Housing Contract from your ONE STOP
account as soon as you have applied for admission by the University.
Housing is available on a first-come-first serve basis, so get your
contract in as soon as you are accepted. Your $100 deposit is
refundable up until June 1.
First Year Student Housing Requirement
To enhance academic success, Western requires first year students who
are taking 9 or more credit hours to reside in University housing unless
they meet at least one of the following criteria for exception:

Are living with a parent,
grandparent or legal guardian.

Are 21 years of age by the
beginning of the academic year for which they are enrolling.
-
Are a military veteran.
-
Have completed more than 30
credit hours (not including dual-enrolled credits).
-
Are married and/or who reside
with dependent children.

All residence halls on campus have:

Front desks staffed by RA's
to assist you.

24 hour public safety
officers and interns as well as 64 security cameras throughout the
residence hall area.

60 channels of cable
including HBO.
-
Free local phone service with
three-way calling and voicemail.

Professional staff that live
in the halls.

Free high-speed internet for
every student, including wireless internet at
Hotspots
across campus.

Laundry facilities in every
building.
-
Student controlled
temperature including air conditioning.

Semi-private bathrooms (no
communal bathrooms where you have to walk down the hall to use them).

Secure reserved parking.

A limited access policy which
ensures only people that live in the halls are allowed to enter after
dark.

allows you customize the way you arrange your room.
Living/Learning Center The
brand new living/learning center is just for freshmen! This
residence hall is geared toward helping students get off to a successful
start in their academics and create long lasting social connections.
Features include:

Social lounges, study
rooms, and kitchens on each of the four floors.

Two student Resident
Assistants (RA's) per floor to facilitate programs on select topics
(study skills, current issues, career development, etc.) and to assist
students with problems.

A special floor for
students participating in
Learning Communities.

Single rooms may be
available depending on demand.
Apartment-Style Housing (Leaverton Hall & Vaselakos Hall)
Apartment-style housing is available for freshmen-seniors and is our
most popular housing option. The apartments offer the following
features:

A kitchenette with microwave,
refrigerator, sink, cabinets, electrical outlets, counter space and
pantry.

Common living room space in
center of apartment.
-
Theme-based housing for
Honors
students, students participating in the marching band, and other
departmental interests.

Study lounges on each floor.
-
Single rooms may be available
depending on demand.
Suite-Style Housing (Logan Hall, Beshears Hall, and Juda Hall)
Suite-style housing is available for sophomores-seniors and has the most
square footage of any of our halls. Features include:

Large living room space in
center of suite.
-
Super-single rooms are
available which is a room typically set up for two students converted
into a single room.

Private bathrooms are
available in some suites.
-
Private balcony located off
the back of each suite.
Commons Building The
Commons Building is located in the middle of the suite-style residence
halls. All residence hall students have access to:
